Roy Keane jabs Gary Neville after awarding the defender of Manchester United Man of the Match honours in the match against Aston Villa.

According to the report from caughtoffside, it is reported that former Manchester united player and football expert Roy Keane took a jab at Gary Neville in the Sky Sports Studio for awarding Harry Maguire the Man of the Match against Aston Villa.

Despite all his criticism, the Red Devil’s secured their third consecutive win, with Scott McTominay scoring a late winner after coming off the bench for Erik ten Hag’s side.

After Lisandro Martinez’s injury, Maguire returned to the team and partnered with Raphael Varane in the heart of the backline. Neville made the call to award Maguire the Man of the Match award, which was presented to him by the opening goalscorer, Rasmus Hojlund. However, Keane disagreed with this decision.

He explained: “I thought he did alright today, obviously some lads give defenders Man of the Match because they’ve been defenders themselves – that type of scenario. It was definitely going to be a defender.”

The Irishman further alluded to the plethora of chances Aston Villa created but ultimately squandered.
