Liverpool’set to interview’ pair following catastrophic Alonso ‘blow’ and Postecoglou final decision

According to football365, Liverpool are poised to interview two potential managers despite allegations that Xabi Alonso prefers Bayern Munich over the Reds. The Reds are looking for a new manager after Jurgen Klopp announced earlier this year that he would be departing Anfield at the conclusion of the season.

Alonso has emerged as the bookies’ favourite to take over, despite various other names being associated with the role. The Spaniard has done an excellent job at Bayer Leverkusen this season, leading the German team to the Bundesliga’s top spot, ten points ahead of second-placed Bayern Munich.

According to a rumour on Monday, Alonso ‘will move to Bayern and not Liverpool’ because the former midfielder is concerned about carrying on Klopp’s legacy at Anfield. According to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, “They have information that, if he changes, he will go to Bayern rather than Liverpool.” Alonso believes Liverpool and the [Jurgen] Klopp legacy are a challenging number. “You might lose more than win.”
