It would be devastating for Liverpool if they lost “another James Milner” to an injury

Express.co says Joe Gomez is underappreciated this season. Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool fans have lauded the defender, but he has not been recognised beyond Merseyside. His performances in numerous areas this season suggest he should be back in the England Euro 2024 debate.

Liverpool may make 18 changes in three games to save Klopp’s dream.
For now, he’s focused on Liverpool. He has played center-back, left-back, and right-back this season. He has played just four of his 32 appearances as a centre-half, his natural position and where he helped Liverpool win the Premier League in 2019-20.

He recently filled in for Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas at left-back when both were out. He has also started many Europa League and Carabao Cup games at right-back to relieve Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Klopp’s new James Milner, nicknamed as Mr. Versatile, will play on the right again in the coming weeks. Knee ligament issue will keep Alexander-Arnold out for at least three games. His rehabilitation time is unknown, so he might miss more.

After mourning his father, Conor Bradley returned to training this week and should be the first-choice right-back while Alexander-Arnold is absent. Liverpool’s calendar between now and the March international break is busy.\
