Barcelona is hunting for the most underappreciated major club manager

According to thetrivelaeffect, Barcelona is seeking for a new manager once Xavi departs the club at the end of the season, and there are lots of outstanding possibilities to choose from. Julian Nagelsmann, Hansi Flick, Roberto De Zerbi, and even Jürgen Klopp and Jose Mourinho have been linked with the Blaugrana role.

According to the Italian tabloid Tuttosport, Barcelona is eyeing Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi as a potential Xavi successor. The Nerazzurri are working hard to keep Inzaghi at Milan for the foreseeable future, trying to sign the Italian manager to a contract extension.

After being sought for his position during the 2022/23 season, Inzaghi immediately turned things around and converted Inter into a European powerhouse. With better finishing from Romelu Lukaku in the final, they may have upset Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and won the Champions League trophy.

Inzaghi has maximized his team, developed players, found critical spots for veterans, recruited the right faces, and altered the game with unique ideas like how he uses replacements and wingbacks. Inzaghi may be the most unappreciated manager of any top-tier team, based on his contributions to Inter and his handling of criticism.

Inzaghi is not widely regarded as an extraordinary manager, but his track record with both Lazio and Inter should position him among De Zerbi and Nagelsmann, despite the fact that the latter two garner more plaudits.

Inzaghi is anticipated to stay with Inter, since the Nerazzurri are the clear favorites to win Serie A this season. But when Barcelona beckons, few people turn down the chance to contribute to the Blaugrana’s legacy.
