What Glazers think about Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Man Utd overhaul as major changes made

The Glazer family are reportedly ‘at ease’ with Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s major overhaul of the Manchester United sporting operation. The INEOS chief has finally had his £1.3billion investment ratified by the Premier League and the Football Association, allowing him to formally begin making widespread changes at Old Trafford.

INEOS have taken control of the sporting department at the Premier League club. The Glazers remain the majority stakeholders and will head up the commercial arm.

Ratcliffe has already planned huge changes at United. INEOS are attempting to build a team of the best brains in the Premier League, with incoming CEO Omar Berrada lured from Manchester City and an ongoing negotiation taking place with Newcastle for sporting director Dan Ashworth.

The future of the club’s Old Trafford home is also on Ratcliffe’s early agenda. It was claimed earlier this month that the British billionaire wants to build a ‘Wembley of the north’ on the site of the existing stadium, believing that a new stadium would be accepted by fans if it was housed on the land of their spiritual home.
