Rasmus Hojlund has been vocal about leaving Man Utd for Real Madrid this summer.

Sportbible reports that Rasmus Hojlund has previously expressed his thoughts on maybe moving from Manchester United to Real Madrid. Hojlund, a Danish international, joined Old Trafford from Serie A team Atalanta during the summer transfer window for an alleged cost of £72 million.

The 21-year-old had a difficult time adjusting to life in the Premier League during the first half of the 23–24 season. Hojlund eventually scored his first league goal in December, four months after joining United, in a thrilling 3-2 victory against Aston Villa.

As he starts to establish himself in the team, Hojlund has made 29 appearances in all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing two assists. His remarkable success has given fuel to rumours that he may be making an unexpected transfer to Spanish La Liga powerhouse Real Madrid.

Hojlund has reportedly been the focus of recent months’ reconnaissance for Madrid’s top scout, Juni Calafat, according to the Spanish news source DefensaCentral. The striker, however, seems to have made it obvious how he feels about perhaps leaving United.

Back in August, Hojlund told a Danish TV Station, as per The Sun: “It’s about dreaming big and daring to dream big. Otherwise you will not reach your goals. “It’s rare you get everything in one package, but I’d say everything has just come together with me and Manchester United. It’s a perfect match.”

He added: “Right now the club is going through a process, and I would very much like to be a part of it. “This is also why I have chosen to come here now, because I feel I can grow with the club, and hopefully we can win a lot of trophies together.”

When asked about when his love for the Red Devils started, Hojlund said: “I think that Rasmus at ten would probably be “buzzing”, as they say over here in England. “(He) set himself a goal, so that’s what I’ve gone after.”
