Jude Bellingham ‘in risk of massive ban’ for alleged Mason Greenwood slur

According to Sportbible, Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham might face a lengthy ban if proven guilty of uttering an alleged slur at Mason Greenwood.

Getafe filed a complaint with La Liga following Real’s 2-0 victory against Getafe earlier this month, alleging an altercation between the two that occurred during the game.

As part of league policy, La Liga included Getafe’s complaint in a weekly report given to the RFEF (Spanish FA), which highlights events that may warrant further investigation.

According to the report, La Liga stated (quote via ESPN): “After the match, messages were detected on social media regarding a possible incident in which visiting player Jude Bellingham allegedly insulted local player Mason Greenwood in English.”

“Numerous media outlets have reported on the incident, as evidenced in the attached incident report.”

There was video footage of the claimed event posted on social media during and after the game, but there was no audio.

According to The Sun, the RFEF has chosen a judge to investigate the complaint, and a decision will be made within two weeks.
