Crystal Palace set to sack Roy Hodgson as next manager already lined up
Mirror.co reports that Crystal Palace are preparing to replace Roy Hodgson with Europa League champion Oliver Glasner. The relegation-threatened Selhurst Park squad signed Hodgson on a short-term contract in March 2023. He was retained for the 2023-24 season after a strong finish, but a three-win streak in the previous 17 league games has increased pressure on the former England manager.
The 76-year-old was threatened with the sack if his club lost at Sheffield United in January. Three points in that game gave him time, but Michael Olise’s injury against Brighton after Hodgson substituted him at 3-0 down hasn’t helped.

Former Premier League managers Julen Lopetegui and Steve Cooper have been linked to Hodgson’s post. However, former Eintracht Frankfurt manager Glasner seems to be a top possibility.

The loss to Chelsea at home on Monday has increased pressure on Hodgson. Jefferson Lerma gave Palace a halftime lead, but Chelsea won 3-1 due to Conor Gallagher’s brace.
