Chelsea set to scrap for Everton star

Midfielder Amadou Onana, who plays for Everton and Belgium, has been linked to many speculations about leaving Goodison Park in the summer. However, Chelsea has not shown interest in the player—until now, according to The Hard Tackle, who reference sources from Belgium.

The cost of Onana’s services is reportedly expected to be in the neighbourhood of €60 million (£51 million), and teams like Arsenal and Barcelona are rumoured to be interested.

However, the Blues are now considering a bid despite having already spent a sizable sum of money on holding midfielders over the previous two seasons, and they have reportedly already “initiated negotiations.”

Even though Onana is a strong defensive midfielder with outstanding tackling abilities, Chelsea’s decision to add him to their roster after already having Moisés Caicedo, Enzo Fernández, and Roméo Lavia signed seems surprising.
