Arsenal will not pay more than £43m for Amadou Onana.

Dutch site Voetbal Krant reports that Arsenal would not spend more than £43 million for Everton midfielder Amadou Onana in the upcoming transfer window.

According to football-talk, the Belgian has become one of the Premier League’s most sought-after defensive midfielders and might leave Everton this summer. Arsenal have been linked with the 22-year-old, but Voetbal Krant say they won’t pay £51 million for him.

The report says the Gunners are struggling financially and may not spend more than £43 million for the former Lille player. Chelsea have also shown interest in signing the versatile player, although Voetbal Krant has not stated a price.

Onana has been a standout for Merseyside this season. He has been crucial in the heart of the pitch by winning possession via tackles and duels. The Belgian has also drawn notice for his 90-minute work rate and recuperation speed.
